About Anuar

Anuar serves clients through McKinsey’s Oil & Gas and Metals & Mining Practices. He advises some of the largest oil-and-gas companies in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and other countries, across a wide range of functional topics. In the metals-and-mining sector, he has served several leading mining companies in the CIS and a major diversified mining company in Australia.

Before relocating to Kazakhstan, Anuar worked in the Moscow office.

Examples of his recent client work include the following:

  • developing upstream strategies for major oil companies in Europe and Russia
  • supporting several energy, mining, and oil and gas companies in developing their operational-improvement programs, including designing the program structure and governance and developing and implementing initiatives
  • participating in well- and reservoir-management-improvement studies for multiple companies across China, the CIS, Eastern Europe, and India
  • supporting a large Australian integrated-energy company‚Äôs turnaround project in the area of integrated planning of development and production operations
  • leading the optimization of large capital-expenditure projects in the mining and oil and gas sectors across geographies
