About Adele

Adele helps North American financial-sector companies, including asset managers, wealth managers, recordkeepers, and retail banks, identify and execute strategies that lead to rapid performance improvement. She has particularly deep expertise advising executives on emerging trends affecting their wealth and retirement businesses.

Since joining McKinsey, Adele’s advisory work has spanned a variety of issues, including finding sources of growth, boosting distribution effectiveness, setting digital strategy, and building new distribution channels. She is particularly focused on helping companies achieve durable competitive advantage in light of changing consumer preferences, emerging market entrants, and an ever-evolving regulatory environment.

Examples of her recent client work include the following:

  • developing a growth strategy for a leading recordkeeper
  • crafting a disruptive growth strategy for a top-five US bank across consumer lending, deposits, and investments
  • creating a large-scale frontline effectiveness program for a wealth-management firm, with an emphasis on sustainable growth and capturing additional value through new advisory skills
  • helping a major asset-management provider create a holistic growth and distribution strategy
  • building a digital strategy and execution program for a top-five private bank serving ultrahigh-net-worth individuals
  • performing strategic due diligence of an asset manager and advising a strategic acquirer on investment in a major US firm

For several years, Adele has led our flagship annual survey, which takes the pulse of the wealth-management sector. She has expanded its scope to aggregate insights and identify trends based on responses from 60 percent of the firms operating in the North American market.
