Delphine Zurkiya is a partner in McKinsey’s Boston office. She is a leader in the firm’s global Life Sciences practice, and counsels medical-device and healthcare-technology companies to deliver above-market growth through business-model innovation, digital and analytics, and commercial transformations.
Her recent experience includes the following:
- guiding the omnichannel-growth transformation at a leading medtech by deploying a first-in-kind AI and machine-learning program to improve lead generation, automation, and agile operating models across the commercial team; orchestrated across channels, which resulted in improved customer engagement and growth
- assisting in the corporate strategy for a healthtech company that identified and operationalized a focused set of product, commercial, and operational initiatives resulting in three times the enterprise value in less than three years
- helping the R&D transformation at a large capital-equipment medtech company focused on accelerating time-to-market for assets in the pipeline and improving lifecycle management
- leading the product-launch strategy for a consumable medical device company, resulting in accelerating peak sales in the first six months of launch through improved customer segmentation, targeting, and value proposition
Delphine received her bachelor and master of engineering in computer science from MIT and a doctorate from Georgia Tech where, in her thesis, she developed novel machine-learning algorithms to aid in medical diagnoses.
Prior to McKinsey, Delphine worked as a research scientist in the medical devices group at Siemens Corporate Research, and as a research software engineer in the Surgical Planning Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she was one of the founding engineers of the open-source software “3D Slicer,” a widely-used medical visualization application.
