Johan has more than ten years of experience as a leader within digital marketing and advertising technology from both large multinational companies and tech startups. Throughout his career he served a wide range of industries, acquiring extensive expertise in digital marketing, technology, and data—within travel, retail and e-commerce, financial services, media, and telecommunications.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Johan was the Norway country manager for one of the biggest global marketing platforms, expanding and scaling its presence in the Nordic markets and Northern Europe.

Before that, he held multiple senior roles in one of Europe’s most successful tech startups where he contributed in its journey from startup to thriving Nasdaq IPO. Johan established its Nordic presence as the regional business development director and later served multinational e-commerce brands within travel and retail as a senior adviser based out of London.

Prior to these roles, Johan served as the Northern Europe sales director at a pioneer startup and before that he was the head of media inventory supply in Sweden for the subsidiary of a major advertising network.

Throughout his career Johan has gained a broad international digital marketing and e-commerce experience from multinational consumer brands, online and offline publishing houses, as well as media and creative agencies.
