About Pradip

Pradip is a senior leader of McKinsey’s Digital Financial Services Practice, coleads our work in consumer and small-business banking in North America, and heads McKinsey Digital in the Midwest.

He serves leading public and privately held banks, insurers, payments companies, and providers of financial-services technology solutions (fintech) on issues of digitization, technology, strategy, organization, and operations. He has led a number of major performance-transformation programs for clients globally. He has authored several publications on these topics, most recently related to the current era of disruption and rapid digitization of the global financial-services sector.

Pradip offers his clients expertise in developing differentiated strategies to achieve above-market growth, maximizing efficiency through end-to-end digitization, execution of programmatic performance turnarounds, and modernization of legacy operations and IT backbones using effective digitization. Among his recent client work, he led a comprehensive digital transformation at a leading global insurer that resulted in near-complete digitization of their core end-to-end customer journeys, including developing pragmatic implementation strategies to work with, and around, legacy IT systems. The transformation drove incremental growth through digitally-enabled front-end customer acquisition strategies in a multichannel environment. Similarly, Pradip has led several growth, digitization, and performance-improvement programs at leading banks and fintech companies.

Recent work has also focused on modernizing the ways business, operations, and IT work seamlessly to reduce cycle times dramatically in product development and deployment across multichannel distribution networks.

His prior experience includes building a leading enterprise-software and analytics company in the insurance fintech arena as president and chief operating officer at CCC Information Services. He also worked for Honeywell and for Schlumberger. Pradip was awarded a US patent for his work on real-time digital transaction systems.
