About David

David is a partner in McKinsey’s Chicago office and leads our work in retail-store operations, customer experience, and frontline sales-force effectiveness in the Americas. He brings 12 years of experience in serving a broad range of clients across a variety of topics from corporate strategy to operational transformations. His primary focus today is helping retailers and financial-service companies drive growth via frontline sales-force productivity.

Examples of his recent client work include the following:

  • redesigning a major financial-services frontline sales approach to drive significant asset growth, including a new sales process, financial-advisor training program, and saleforce best practices
  • building a new frontline sales and customer experience go-to-market model for a major retailer, which entailed associate sales training, manager coaching excellence, and an advanced-analytics-driven sales-enablement tool
  • supporting a major retailer through a multiyear transformation program to turn around its performance, including a full range of cost-cutting initiatives, such as harnessing new technology to modernize operations
