The giving nature of McKinsey is remarkable. You benefit as much from the gift of seeing others grow as you do from being guided yourself.

Choosing McKinsey

I knew that McKinsey would offer the most opportunities to learn early in my career. Because of the supportive culture and non-hierarchical nature of the Firm, I have been able to grow quickly. I have also had the opportunity to guide others. The giving nature of McKinsey is remarkable. You benefit as much from the gift of seeing others grow as you do from being guided yourself.

Driving Client Impact

My most memorable client experience involved building a leadership academy. The client, a government entity, was struggling to strategize and plan for the future amidst growing uncertainty and new disruptive technologies. We helped the client build a disruptive leaders academy and secure the funding required to get it up and running.

Charting Your Own Course at McKinsey

I am encouraged to chart my own course in any area that furthers my development. For example, I have become an expert in economic development. Also, I ended up taking over the analysis for several clients operating in a specific country. I became so well versed in this topic that I continued to support all teams working within this country. I ensured the quality of my work by partnering with other teams around the world and by constantly testing the data. My journey at McKinsey has helped me grow as a person, a leader, and a team member. And I will continue to grow because of the endless opportunities to chart my own course.

Interviewing with McKinsey

I pushed myself to ensure I was prepared for the interview process. With the support of case coaching sessions and guidance from McKinsey prior to the interviews, I was able to succeed.
