The latest in MGI’s Power of Parity series on gender inequality put the focus on Canada. MGI ranks Canada in the top ten of 95 countries on gender equality, but progress has stalled over the past 20 years.
The analysis found that, by taking steps to address this issue, Canada could add $150 billion in incremental GDP in 2026 or increase the rate of annual GDP growth by 0.6 percent, 6 percent higher than business-as-usual. Each province stands to gain between 4 and 9 percent in 2026.
MGI presented its latest research on gender inequality at the Concordia Summit’s Partnerships for Gender Parity event.
