Saudi Arabia’s healthcare consumer sentiment during the COVID-19 crisis

Healthcare consumer optimism has improved in Saudi Arabia (KSA) since mid-June 2020 across most healthcare categories. However, more than a third of consumers are willing to delay elective hospital visits for care. Safety, cleanliness, and proximity remain the three critical factors for consumers when selecting healthcare providers during the crisis. At the same time, the strong shift towards digital health has been sustained with around 40 percent of consumers using virtual care in the past two months. Almost all of respondents reported having a positive experience and 85 percent said they intend to continue using these services.

These exhibits are based on survey data collected in the KSA in Q3 and Q4 2020.
