Charitable giving in the property and casualty insurance industry: An update

The US insurance industry increased its bottom-line charitable giving in 2014, contributing 15 percent more on average than in 2011. Fewer than 50 percent of foundations track the social or business impact of their contributions, however, which points to an opportunity for insurers to improve the impact of their giving.
