Women control only a third of household financial assets in the United States—for now

Americans hold about $35 trillion in household wealth. Roughly 70 percent of affluent-household investable assets are controlled by baby boomers. And since women tend to outlive men, a great deal of wealth is expected to transfer to women by 2030.

Today, women in the United States control $10.9 trillion in assets.
