One trend that could shape the future of the luxury-car market is the continued increase in the number of high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI). For example, the number of UHNWIs—people with more than $30 million in investable assets—will likely grow worldwide at 5 percent from 2021 to 2026, reaching more than 700,000 people.
