The gap between semiconductor supply and demand has widened across multiple semiconductor-enabled products. From wireless communications and PCs to autos and consumer electronics, demand for semiconductors in 2020 and 2021 exceeded prepandemic forecasts. This is leading to increased competition across industries over a limited supply.
