The session is the 2nd episode of our virtual discussions around Asia Climate Risk. It will be led by Yuito Yamada, leader of McKinsey’s sustainability practice in Asia and Mekala Krishnan, senior fellow of McKinsey Global Institute. The webinar will be facilitated by Ruslan Fakhrutdinov, a co-author of MGI’s Climate Risk and Response in Asia discussion paper. This event will offer participants:
- A look at the climate impacts across five systems: workability and livability, food systems, physical assets, infrastructure services, and natural capital.
- An examination of the impacts of climate change on 16 countries in Asia, including India, China, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and South Korea.
- An assessment of how well placed Asia is to lead global adaptation and mitigation efforts.
- Time for Q&A with the speakers.
