My colleagues boost my confidence and create space for me to grow.

Responsibility from day one

I joined McKinsey as a business analyst after finishing my bachelor's degree. I was positively surprised by the amount of responsibility, which makes it exciting to be on projects. At first, I was quite hesitant, but my colleagues boost my confidence and create space for me to grow. What intrigues me is that I am able to learn from colleagues with different backgrounds to continue to develop my skills in diverse teams.

Doing meaningful work

During my bachelor, I knew that I wanted to gain full-time work experience after graduation before I eventually would continue my studies. One of the main differences from studying to working full-time is how my week is structured. Instead of attending to studies, exams, and work on a regular basis, I can now devote my time to only focus on work, which I enjoy a lot.

Broadening my network

I enjoy to meet new people, whether that is the team on a new project, students at our events, or colleagues around the office. I attend social events and activities to meet new people and broaden my network by talking to colleagues with all kinds of interests and personalities. This makes it very enjoyable for me to be in the office. Now, I have not only gained colleagues, but also new friends.
