The steep learning curve is both challenging and motivating, helping me to test my boundaries and find out what truly inspires me.
The autonomy to manage my own tasks
I first got to know McKinsey through my studies, where I met many interesting people who inspired me to pursue a career in consulting. What drew me to consulting was the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different industries and contexts, and to work in diverse teams. One of the things I appreciate most about McKinsey is the flexibility and the low amount of top-down leadership. From early on, I felt in control of my workstreams and I was given the autonomy to manage my own tasks and contribute with my perspectives. The steep learning curve is both challenging and motivating, helping me to test my boundaries and find out what truly inspires me.
Hands-on experience
I aim to work on many different projects to broaden my skillset and push myself out of my comfort zone, but over the past year and a half, I've started to specialize in strategy and corporate finance projects within the global energy and materials sector. In my spare time, I like to play padel with friends and colleagues, read a good book, catch up on the news, or follow my favorite soccer and football teams. I believe the Business Analyst program is excellent if you want to gain hands-on experience before pursuing a Master's degree. As a Business Analyst, I get to contribute to solving critical challenges and bring new perspectives to my teams.
