Introduction of the role

For our office in Prague, we are looking for a full-time Accountant / Senior Accountant who is passionate and motivated to join our dynamic and global firm with friendly environment and great opportunities for learning.

Role Overview

You will perform daily activities in relation with the Finance & Accounting agenda. Responsibilities include streamlining existing procedures and implementing new ones as necessary, as well as ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.

How can you grow?

In our Finance & Accounting department team members take advantage of long-term rotation of responsibilities. The responsibilities of our team members are not fixed for years. Rather, we try to change these responsibilities in the team from time to time so that each member of the team gets a comprehensive idea of the functioning of the department. If you still want to do more, you might have the opportunity to be involved in projects within the Central European region.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage:

  • Time & Expense Reports review
  • Account Payables and Fixed Assets processing
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliation
  • Internal and external audit support
  • Bank transactions & cash flow management

Manage with available support of an external advisor:

  • Local statutory accounts
  • VAT/CIT returns + other mandatory filings

Required Skills

  • University degree (ideally in Finance or Accounting)
  • Minimum 2 years of finance experience, preferably in a multinational professional service environment (can be even during university studies)
  • Computer literacy including mastery of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Suite software
  • Native Czech or Slovak and good written and spoken English
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles; excellent organizational ability and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, perform well under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines as well as proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent team skills and customer service attitude and ability to maintain confidential information
