As one of McKinsey’s foremost experts in telecommunications, Beltrán leads the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice in Latin America. He often works with leading telecom clients in emerging markets, specifically in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. His telecom experience spans startups, broad turnaround and efficiency programs, commercial and capital-expenditure optimization, strategy, M&A, and pricing.

Beltrán also has deep experience in digital technology and analytics. He has led several digital transformation projects for major telcos and other companies in Latin America. Additionally, he is highly skilled at launching new businesses, revamping value propositions, and developing pricing and commercial strategies.

Beltrán started his career on the M&A team of a Spanish multinational telco, before taking on consulting roles in the telecommunications sector in Colombia, South Africa, and Spain. He joined McKinsey in 2016.

Born in Spain, Beltrán is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. Beltrán is also a sports enthusiast, having participated in several running and triathlon events.
