Internship for Women

Women’s Internship Program Switzerland

Fancy a taste of consulting, while at the same time learning from your own personal mentor and benefiting from personal communication skills training? Then apply for this exclusive internship program!

With us, your resourcefulness will be required from day one. You will be part of a project team and work directly with clients on exciting tasks that will truly make a difference. But this is not the only experience you will gain. During this exclusive internship, a female partner from the Swiss office will be there for you as your personal mentor during your time at McKinsey and give you individual coaching. What’s more, you will benefit from personal communication skills training and discover tips and tricks for life not only as a consultant, but also on a personal level. In these ten-to-twelve weeks, you will learn more than you could anywhere else and in far less time.

More details

Interns at McKinsey experience first-hand how a corporate consultancy firm operates: as a “temporary consultant”, you will be a fully-fledged member of this project team for between ten and twelve weeks. You will be working under real conditions on site with clients to devise concrete solutions. Your opinion and your initiative will be called for from day one. After successful completion of the internship, interns will receive a job offer from us – or, if you are not due to finish your studies anytime soon, the option to stay in touch with us via events, personal mentoring and other networking opportunities.

Effective communication is a critical ingredient for consultants’ success regardless of their role. So, as well as gaining on-the-job experience as a project team member, you will also receive in-house training from our client communications specialists to build your capabilities in top-down communication, storytelling, and presenting with impact. After this training, you will be able to communicate in a more structured, interesting and confident manner. This training is only available to interns who submit a successful application by October 31, 2019.
