You will work closely with senior leaders across the firm to drive a portfolio of high-impact strategic initiatives that are critical to McKinsey Japan's long-term success.
These initiatives sit at the intersection of client impact, institutional capability building, organizational transformation, and innovation, helping ensure that the firm continues to evolve and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
At its core, your work is about strengthening the capabilities, insights, relationships, and institutional strengths that have long differentiated McKinsey. As the needs of clients, organizations, and society continue to evolve, so must the firm. Your skills will contribute directly to that evolution.
The initiative portfolio evolves alongside the priorities of the firm. Topics may range from strengthening client impact and leadership engagement to building new capabilities, advancing strategic transformations, and helping shape how McKinsey operates in an increasingly AI-enabled world. As priorities evolve, so will the opportunities to work on some of the most important and consequential questions facing the firm.
You will lead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, partnering with senior stakeholders to solve complex problems, shape decisions, align diverse groups, and drive execution. Your success requires your ability to combine strategic thinking with practical implementation and to navigate ambiguity while delivering measurable results.
As technology and AI continue to reshape industries and organizations, the opportunity extends far beyond adopting new tools. It includes reimagining how expertise is created and scaled, how decisions are informed, how relationships are strengthened, and how impact is delivered. Your drive to help shape an increasingly AI-native institution—one that leverages technology not only to improve existing processes, but to unlock capabilities and forms of value creation that were previously impossible.
You will work across functions, capabilities, and leadership groups, building trusted relationships and mobilizing stakeholders around shared objectives. You will be solving complex problems, driving transformation, and building enduring institutions.
You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
