You will lead end-to-end center finance and accounting operations, ensuring strong internal controls, data-driven performance, and reliable financial stewardship for the center.
You will manage all aspects of center finance and accounting operations, including treasury and bank accounts, balance sheet, P&L, payroll, local tax and statutory requirements with support from the corporate tax team, subsidies, and strong integration with global finance and accounting teams in the Finance Shared Services Center.
You will implement and maintain a consistent set of finance and accounting policies and systems to support multiple objectives. You will oversee internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor requests, and ensure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
You will manage senior stakeholders’ expectations and provide timely updates on issues and escalations. You will support the full spectrum of finance, budgeting, accounting and controls, allocations, reporting, and analysis for center-based shared infrastructure services. You will also partner with the firm function Finance team to provide transparency on operating costs and other key financial metrics to center leadership.
You will provide analysis and insight for other assignments and ad hoc projects as needed, and work with the global treasury team to ensure appropriate funding of legal entities through forecasting and cash-flow management.
You will act as a role model for the team by delivering high-quality content and subject-matter expertise. You will lead and coach a team of 3-4 colleagues, set employee goals, support team member development aligned with overall Finance function goals, and improve team performance through content expertise, skill building, training, coaching, and mentorship.
You will be based in San Jose, Costa Rica, as part of the Center Based Finance Team, reporting to the Director of Center Based Finance. This team supports center leadership and key stakeholders through customer-focused finance operations, strong controls, and performance transparency.

  • CA/CPA (or equivalent) and/or MBA (or equivalent)
  • 8+ years of relevant finance experience, including finance and accounting operations in a complex environment
  • Planning and analytical experience in a complex environment, with proficiency in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
  • Multi-national experience and the ability to work effectively with global finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and shared services stakeholders
  • Experience managing end-to-end finance and accounting operations, including treasury and bank accounts, balance sheet, P&L, payroll, local tax/statutory requirements, audits, controls, reporting, analysis, budgeting, allocations, forecasting, and cash-flow management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder expectations, provide timely updates on issues and escalations, and build strong relationships with center leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and people-development skills, including experience leading, coaching, training, mentoring, and improving performance of a small team
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently, prioritize effectively, and see responsibilities through to completion in a complex and largely autonomous work environment
  • Ability to work in-person and travel as needed (team schedules and office locations may vary)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
