You will be based in Stockholm as part of Material Economics, a management consulting firm advising companies on sustainability as a key strategic imperative and business performance driver.
Material Economics specializes in sustainability and resource strategy topics. We help companies develop sustainability strategies that deeply transform companies to be a successful part of the net-zero economy. We believe sustainability is a strategic issue at the top of mind of executives. It also is increasingly complex. Tackling these issues requires a specialized management consulting firm of the highest quality. Our work goes to the heart of our clients’ business, targeting core business strategy issues arising from the ongoing sustainability disruption.
The work we do makes a real difference – both on the policy level where we break new ground with our reports for the EU and beyond, and by affecting the strategic decisions of big corporations. By combining Material Economics’ capabilities and assets with McKinsey’s extensive network, we can broaden and deepen our sustainability offerings, and accelerate our ambition to create a global engine for sustainability operating from the region.
As a consultant at Material Economics you will help solve complex problems impacting companies and society and drive the field of sustainable business strategy forward.
In this role, you will work in a diverse team with substantial experience specialized on advising companies and organizations on key strategic issues related to sustainability. You will work in a Material Economics team or in close collaboration with a McKinsey consulting team. You will build your understanding of complex business problems, strategic choices and sustainability questions as well as develop new skills and experience as you grow in the company. You will rapidly be responsible for specific parts of projects, and work together with experienced team members to formulate key insights for clients.
The types of projects we do span from strategy engagements for large companies to research-focused projects advancing the field of climate and material sustainability.
At Material Economics, each person is a key part in building and developing the company. You will be encouraged to take initiative and contribute to the development of your own as well as the company’s role. We offer the opportunity to join a high calibre and fun team, working on some of the most relevant challenges of today.
