Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Milan office as part of Milan Client Capabilities Network team.
The Milan Client Capabilities Network is part of the geographic research and knowledge group with analysts covering the main sectors of activity for McKinsey in Italy.
The Client Capabilities Network is a global network, which includes more than 7,000 research and knowledge professionals who work alongside our consultants and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge. Colleagues in our global Client Capabilities Network deliver distinctive client impact through assets and expertise and are driven by a culture of innovation.

Your impact within our firm

You will support consultants and clients developing capabilities to gain insights to solve specific client business problems.  
You will leverage your experience in market and economic research to be a thought-partner to teams and clients. You will prioritize research activities to have the most impact. You will develop industry knowledge and expertise in the Energy & Materials topics. You’ll also collaborate with our global research team to share and build knowledge, best practices and relevant new ideas. You will develop knowledge and help support the continuous improvement of our knowledge assets, innovating firm knowledge and delivery through special projects, both with client teams and on a stand-alone basis.
The type of contract and the level of role will depend on the experience and qualifications of the candidate.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Master's degree in (energy, management, sustainability or similar) engineering with record of strong academic achievement 
  • Post-graduate work experience is valued; recent graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered
  • Strong interest in Energy & Materials and Sustainability topics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint); advanced software knowledge (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau) is a plus
  • Demonstrated research experience in an academic or business setting
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and across all levels within an organization
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of financial, economic and general business concepts and terminology
  • Ability to accomplish work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively in both English and Italian
