Digital Organization & Talent Consultant

You will work on teams of McKinsey consultants, agile coaches, product owners and experts to transform digital organizations, reimagine talent strategies and shaping how senior leaders think about their most important asset - people - to deliver business results.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree, master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience ideally in a digital native’s people function, a professional service firm’s organizational talent and/or digital practice
  • Expertise on a few of the following topics – job architecture, career paths, workforce planning, talent management, operating model design, and capability building
  • Knowledge or eagerness to learn Agile practices, ways of working, and methodologies, ideally in the context of executing people and organizational projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills demonstrated through work experience
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Passionate for building inclusive and diverse environment where talent can thrive
  • Demonstrated ability to shape unique, client organizational cultures with impact
  • Willing to travel up to 80% weekly

What You'll Do

In addition to developing impact-driven digital organizational and talent strategies for global clients, you will act as a thought leader of these topics at McKinsey, developing best practice people initiatives, approaches and standards. On a daily basis, you will solve challenging problems in an innovative, state-of-the-art, fast-paced environment. 
You will leverage traditional consulting skills and innovative digital approaches such as design thinking and Agile to launch talent management strategies across the employee lifecycle for digital talent, with particular focus on diversity & inclusion. You will build high-performing client organizations in dynamic and fast-paced project environments, owning their ramp-up and scale like a “product” while continuously defining roadmaps, strategies and ways of working (e.g. working with clients to use Sprint boards and backlogs as tools for talent management). You will elevate digital brands for global companies and institutions to foster inclusivity, attract unique, niche technological and agile workforces, and reimagine what it means to go-to-market as a digital organization using user-centric personas and journeys.
You will craft sound, in-depth talent solutions that will effectively support clients in sourcing, evaluating, managing and growing their digital talent along with driving how clients think about their organizational structures and operating models for agility. You will design people-centric job and career models that promote transparency and enable forward-thinking analytics and action plans that support client leaders in delivering on most critical talent needs and capability building programs for long term sustainment. You will bridge the gap between complex human resources topics and business and technology leaders for a shared sense of accountability over organizational and people processes that will enable broader digital transformations.
