Who You'll Work With

You’ll be working with our Operations practice Capex Excellence Service Line in our Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong or Taipei office. We assists our clients in solving complex Capital investment challenges. Blending Operation and Capex thinking with hands-on practicality, our teams of consultants and experts work to develop and implement project, portfolio, organization, process best practices that solve our clients' most critical problems.

Capex Excellence is a rapidly growing service line with deep functional expertise focusing on issue of capital allocation and project value optimization: business case, concept, and design optimization; procurement and contracting; construction, commissioning, and ramp-up; and organizational capabilities, tools and processes to deliver significant and sustainable impact for our clients.

What You'll Do

You will be a thought leader and expert practitioner delivering project/program management for small to mega capital projects/portfolios utilizing capital project management methodologies.

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise across industries and have a significant impact across the Capex value chain. This could include applying your managerial expertise of large capital projects with deep expertise in bottom-up design, design optimization, risk management, contracting & procurement, and ramp-up of production processes in capital intensive industries. Other examples are delivering portfolio optimization and capability-building in the context of the overall Capex management improvement effort or developing short and long-term capability-building plans for all relevant levels of client leadership with anticipated deliverables, outcomes, and required resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field; MBA is preferred
  • 4+ years experience in industry or consulting environment
  • Industry expertise in the Owner project management, engineering center/Engineering/Construction company is a must
  • Project experience in Basic Material, Chemicals, infrastructure, Semiconductor or IDC
  • Demonstrated career trajectory and outstanding professional achievement and impact
  • Proficiency in engineering, construction management, contractor management, design optimization, procurement, project control and commissioning
  • Proven track record and expertise delivering large capex projects (>$50MM) across the entire project life cycle
  • Open minded and fast learner to varies industries, contracting model and execution strategies

  • Logical thinking and skills to communicate complex ideas effectively

  • Good network in the industry is a plus
