You will be part of McKinsey’s Client Service Risk (CSR) function, whose mission is to enable McKinsey’s client impact and innovation, while managing risks to our clients, our firm, and our people.
In the Global Technology Risk team, we are helping ensure positive and lasting impact from the Tech and AI revolution through pragmatic, expert and integrated technology risk capabilities. Our goal is to act as trusted thought-partners to the firm's leadership on technology and its risks, serving as innovative problem solvers and strategic advisors. We offer deep expertise that is alive to emerging issues and trends, drawing on a strong network of relationships within and beyond the firm.
As a Risk Specialist in Technology Risk, you will provide advice and case management on technology and risk matters. You will work closely with client service teams and partner with functions such as Legal and other internal stakeholders to improve processes and develop clear guidance.
You will lead projects that strengthen the firm’s approach to priority risk topics, including creating materials and recommendations to enhance policies, frameworks, and guidance. You will build strong relationships across client service and risk teams, becoming a trusted advisor to colleagues and stakeholders.
In this role, you will work across sectors and geographies, developing expertise in emerging risk areas and gaining insight into the firm’s client service environment, technologies, tools, partners, and capabilities. You will also ensure timely, accurate, and complete data for the cases you manage.
You will support senior team members on strategic initiatives such as policy reviews, risk assessments, and programs that improve awareness and transparency. Your role reports to the Associate Director, Client Service Risk, Technology Advisory, and is based in Europe or Asia within the Technology Risk team.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 4+ years of technology, law, risk, compliance, consulting, law, risk, compliance, or similar professional services experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to navigate a complex and nuanced professional services/partnership environment
