Who You'll Work With

You will be based in oue Sao Paolo office and will be part of the People Legal team.  This group is dedicated to the broad spectrum of internal personnel issues that arise in a dynamic, global organization.  The work is fast-paced and involves problem-solving that can vary from more routine questions to highly complex and sophisticated legal matters.   

You'll be part of our larger global Legal Department as one of ~60 lawyers worldwide.  The Legal Department provides comprehensive legal services and broad risk management support to our firm’s leadership, consultants and support staff. 

What You'll Do

You'll support all facets of the firm, including firm leadership, partner personnel and compensation, recruiting, HR, professional development and diversity and inclusion efforts by advising on the myriad issues that can arise involving our people.  

This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities and is global in nature, with an emphasis on supporting the LatAm region.  You will work closely with firm stakeholders to problem solve and advise on a range of people issues. These may include contracts (offer letters, employment agreements, separation agreements, secondments, mobility transfers, NDAs), compliance with anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws, disability matters, data privacy, intellectual property, disciplinary/ performance matters, diversity initiatives and compensation.

You'll support strategic initiatives such as office openings, acquisitions, and joint ventures whilst also undertaking and supporting internal investigations, evaluation review processes, and tricky terminations. You'll manage the firm’s involvement in actual or potential employment litigation and will advise on a range of subjects from firm policies through to independent contractual matters, and restrictive covenants for both incoming and outgoing talent. You'll also be expected to proactively identify potential risks to the firm and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop solutions.
