Who You'll Work With

You’ll work as a Digital Technology Consultant in Geneva or Zurich.  This group brings together the best of McKinsey’s digital capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.  
As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to agile, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm.
You’ll also work with colleagues from across McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses, both on technology and non-technology topics.

What You'll Do

Working in teams of typically 3 – 5 consultants, you’ll play an active role in all aspects of a client project.
This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, developing and communicating recommendations, and ultimately presenting results to client management. Typically you will also work on implementing recommendations with client team members.
You’ll also gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. Consultants receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on their teams.

Qualifications

  • PhD (or several years of work experience) in computer science, electrical engineering or related technical fields with outstanding record of academic achievement
  • Internships or first work experience, ideally in an area with exposure to technological topics (software engineering, cloud computing, cyber security, IT architecture, agile, digital transformation etc.)
  • Strong interest to explore the breadth of technology related topics
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in German (for Zurich) or French (for Geneva) and in English
