You will join our San Jose office as part of our Human Resources (HR) team that serves the United States and Latin America and collaborates closely with local HR teams across Asia and EEMA and other teams in in Tampa and Gurgaon.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support for various tasks including letters, verifications of employment, and thought partnership with different regional HR teams on a wide range of HR processes & programs, including but not limited to benefits, payroll, offboarding, onboarding, and leaves of absence, while maintaining a risk mitigation and process improvement mindset.
You will be the first point of contact for, and communicate effectively with, firm members on HR matters via our ticketing tool ServiceNow. You will also be responsible for managing data in McKinsey’s People Systems in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner.

- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of relevant professional work experience
- Proficiency in HR systems such as SAP/SuccessFactors (People Central) for employee life cycle management processes
- Strong integrity, maturity and fairness in dealing with members and confidential information
- Ability to deliver results (e.g. to meet the requisite defined SLAs in HR operations)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
- Outstanding organizational skills; detail-oriented; able to prioritize and multitask; strong ownership evident through responsibility and accountability for the end product; highly proactive mindset
- Highly professional presence on telephone, email, and all other work-related communications platforms
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
