A New Year's ski trip

I hope that you had a nice winter break. It's hard to believe 2017 is over! It was a really special year for me, and one that I both started and ended by skiing with friends from INSEAD.

Anna joined our Warsaw office as an experienced hire after working in finance for several years. While completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees—both in finance—from Wrocław University of Economics in Poland, she also completed her CFA program, paving the way for her to work almost exclusively within our financial institutions group. She speaks four languages, which is useful given her love of international travel. Outside of work, you’ll find her skiing, sailing, or attending the theater.

Hi everyone,

I hope that you had a nice winter break. It's hard to believe 2017 is over! It was a really special year for me, and one that I both started and ended by skiing with friends from INSEAD.

Enjoying our raclette dinner on New Year's Eve

I went to Ischgl in Austria with a group of seven close friends. We had some initial troubles finding accommodations, so I was very happy that we actually managed to get the trip organized. We enjoyed lots of snow and a few sunny days as well. Our New Year's Eve started with a delicious raclette dinner, followed by a party in an après ski club with an amazing view of a spectacular firewall show.

Beautiful skiing weather

This trip made me realize how much I had been missing my INSEAD friends. It was great to get together and talk over our latest life events-and to discover that it doesn’t take much to understand each other without words. I feel really privileged to be a part of the INSEAD community, which enriches my life with its diversity and enthusiasm. My new year's resolution is to dedicate at least one hour a week to keep in touch with INSEAD friends. I am sure the effort will pay off by making me a more interesting and happier person.

Wishing you very happy 2018,
Anna
