Since I joined McKinsey as a summer business analyst, Equal at McKinsey has been more than a professional network. It has been my home. Equal at McKinsey members and allies have become some of my closest friends, mentors, and sponsors (mentors who do more than just advise – those that create opportunities for me). They acknowledge and support my identity both inside and out of work. Equal at McKinsey ensures my voice is heard; a safe space is never far away; and I can bring my true, full self to work every day.

Through Equal at McKinsey, I’ve been afforded many opportunities to learn and grow. One of the most rewarding was leading our pro–bono partnership with The Trevor Project. We built out one of their core strategic priorities, defining steps the organization could take over the next couple of years to achieve its goal of extending its services for the LGBTQ+ community. It has been so important to me to contribute to Trevor’s mission – the life–saving work Trevor does is integral to LGBTQ+ individuals, organizations, and communities. We need to continue to raise awareness and help create a safer space for LGBTQ+ youth.
