Wilson McCrory, Partner, Charlotte

Welcome! I am a partner in our Charlotte office, and I’m proud to co-lead Access McKinsey.

Access McKinsey is a network for colleagues with visible and nonvisible disabilities, from mobility impairments and other physical disabilities to autism, dyslexia, mental health conditions, chronic illness, and more. Members of our community listen empathetically, share experiences, and exchange ideas and advice.

In addition to fostering a supportive community, Access McKinsey advocates for our members by raising awareness of disability inclusion across our firm. We work with firm leaders to identify and remove potential barriers to colleagues with disabilities achieving and contributing their full potential. Many of our members voluntarily choose to share their stories on social media, through our intranet, and at live events. We also educate colleagues on how to act as supportive allies.

I’m legally blind. When I came to the firm in 2007 as a business analyst, I asked for a bigger computer with a larger screen and keyboard, and colleagues in our IT department helped me set it up and customize it. Years later, I asked for an iPad I could hold close to my face to see. Without hesitation, colleagues in our IT department stepped in once again to ensure I had the tools I needed. My experiences made me realize that all I had to do was ask, and people will go out of their way to help you.

Disability can be a lot of different things. I want you to know that if you join McKinsey, Access McKinsey will be here to ensure you have what you need to feel and perform at your best.

Best of luck in our recruiting process.

Wilson
