Acquisition of two mobile-network operators increases market power for Spanish telecommunications provider
To increase its market power and visibility, a telecommunications provider acquired two additional mobile-network operators, setting the course toward becoming one of the top five providers in Spain. By consolidating, the organization aimed to become a stronger player within the market against competitors.
Wave entered the program at the end of the master planning phase and is currently being used to track post-merger integration initiatives.
Companies were operating from different locations and needed one source of truth to track progress and provide transparency.
Continuous improvement and strategic execution initiatives are tracked in Wave, focusing on the following areas:
- Customer experience
- Improving network operations
- B2B and wholesale
By utilizing Wave to manage and keep this complex merger on track, a customer base of 4.3 million people was produced as a result, and actual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization achieved in 2017 was €32 million ($37+million).
