Team learning: Why it matters and how to achieve it

The team is the fundamental unit of work in an organization. When we aspire to create an organization that learns, what we're really saying is, “We need teams that learn.”

In this webinar, Sasha Zolley, leader in McKinsey Academy, moderates a discussion with Harvard professor Amy Edmondson and McKinsey expert Marla Capozzi to discuss team learning. They discuss topics such as:

  • How teams are able to combine strengths to achieve something greater than the sum of their parts
  • Why and how team composition impacts team performance
  • Ways to “set the stage,” encourage a team, and stimulate creativity
  • The value of experimenting … yes, we can learn from failure!
