In Belgium, most consumers still believe that the economy will take more than six months to recover. The impact on personal income and spending decreased slightly since the last pulse survey, but most consumers believe the impact on their routines will last beyond the next two months. Digital consumption remains generally low, but depending on category, percent of consumer shopping online has increased 10 to 20 percent. Consumers are adopting many digital replacements for everyday activities and plan to continue some of them after the crisis. They are looking for lifted restrictions and increased safety measures before reengaging with regular out-of-home activities, but plan to increase socializing with friends in the next two weeks.
