Yongah recently transferred to McKinsey’s Toronto office. Before that, she was head of the Korean Finance Practice and co-head of the Korean Healthcare Practice. She is a core member of the Global Finance and Global Infrastructure Practices and has the distinction of being the first Korean woman elected to partner and senior partner at McKinsey.

Since joining the firm, Yongah has led or contributed to a range of client projects spanning corporate strategy, marketing, sales, operations, and organizational performance. Her recent client work reflects the breadth of her experience. Yongah advised a banking client on executing a transformation program, assisted a leading EPC company in developing its vision and strategy, and led a globalization and new business strategy for a leading conglomerate.

Yongah is a recognized thought leader on business and social issues, particularly those relating to finance and healthcare. She co-authored a book on Korean healthcare reform and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council for Korea and the Strategy Advisory Committee of the Korean Ministry of Finance and Planning. She frequently lectures at industry forums and international conferences on issues of leadership, the state of the finance industry, and the quest to develop global talent.
