About Yakov

Yakov joined the Moscow office in 2008. He leads our work in business systems design, organizational development, and agile implementation across numerous industries.

His main area of specialization is end-to-end transformations that help create high productivity organization and management models and drive efficiency culture.

Examples of recent projects: 

  • development and implementation of a large-scale operations system design and organizational transformation program for a large metallurgy holding;
  • end-to-end customer centricity improvement strategy development and agile implementation for one of the leading companies in the basic materials industry; 
  • governance model design for an intergovernmental private equity fund;
  • end-to-end management costs optimization program for a large basic materials company.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Yakov worked as a consultant for MC HydroOGK (later, PAO RusHydro).

He holds a PhD in Economics, and he is also a professor.
