About Yael

Yael Taqqu is a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s High Tech, Media and Telecom Practice, and co-leads the Product transformation service line. Yael serves many leading B2C companies on topics of digital and product portfolio growth. Her clients span consumer tech and media, wireless, and information services.

Yael advises her clients on topics that include digital acquisition and audience development, new product development, and commercialization. In addition to her client work, she leads McKinsey’s network of Experience Studios globally, a series of innovation spaces for clients to participate in experiential workshops, capability building programs, and interact with the local tech community. She also leads recruiting for McKinsey for the Northeast.

Yael graduated summa cum laude from Yale, and received her MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to Yale, she graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division in classical piano performance. She was the producer of a documentary on HIV, which aired on Showtime and won the Audience Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Yael serves on the board of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
