Helps Life Sciences companies realize the fullest potential of data and analytics in bringing life-saving therapies to market

Tara is a partner in McKinsey’s Philadelphia office and is the chief data officer for our Life Sciences Practice. She drives global data strategy for our clients and the firm. She works with clients to develop best in class data capabilities, and ensure that our consultants leverage cutting-edge data and analytic strategy to serve our clients from R&D to medical affairs to commercial.

Some of her recent client work includes the following:

  • enabling clients to launch new drugs by leveraging insights generated from terabytes of data
  • guiding clients to a fit-for-purpose data strategy based on use cases, analytics capabilities, and budget
  • leveraging data and analytics to drive growth strategy for underutilized assets

Prior to joining McKinsey, Tara practiced internal medicine for over a decade. She transitioned from clinical medicine to industry via a start-up, where she helped to build a healthcare analytics company as the chief medical officer.

Tara is a practitioner of Aikido, sings in a band, enjoys walking, dabbles in yoga, and is happiest spending time in her raucous household of seven.
