About Somesh

Somesh is a leader in our Financial Services Practice and currently leads Digital McKinsey in our banking and insurance sectors globally and across all sectors in North America.

He serves clients on wide-ranging digitally-centered topics, including digital strategy and organization, end-to-end business model redesign, new business building, customer journey redesign and delivery, and analytics-led digital marketing programs to drive increased customer acquisition or cross-sell. He led an engagement with a global insurer that identified digital opportunities across the enterprise that not only drove customer centricity but also unveiled over a half a billion in earnings impact from digital transformation. He is currently leading a digital transformation at a large bank, designed to appify and digitize 10 core end-to-end customer journeys while accelerating and modernizing the bank's processes for product and software development.

Beyond digital, Somesh has also led client teams at retail banks to drive improvement in sales-force performance, profitability, and business process re-engineering. With credit card issuers, he has led engagements on growth, marketing optimization, product innovation, and customer experience. With property-and-casualty insurers he has led claims transformations in specialty, commercial, and personal lines.

Somesh is an avid golfer and is on the board of directors of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Serious Fun Children’s Network.
