About Soegeng

Soegeng rejoined McKinsey as a Partner in 2015. He serves clients on operational improvements, sales & marketing, corporate finance, organization and strategy in multiple sectors, including mining, telecommunication and pulp & paper.

He has over 10 years’ investment and operational improvement experience in a private equity in Southeast Asia.

During his earlier career at McKinsey, Soegeng served banks, basic materials, shipping and government institutions in Indonesia and across Asia, including the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) on operational improvement topics.

Soegeng’s recent work includes:

  • helping a coal client in Southeast Asia on operational improvements to increase margins through cost reduction and blending optimization levers
  • defining digital strategy of a leading telecommunication company in Southeast Asia by developing the strategic roadmap and implementation plan
  • supporting a pulp and paper company in Southeast Asia on its sales improvement program
  • assisting with the performance turnaround across operations of a coal company in Southeast Asia
