About Shekhar

Based in our Silicon Valley office, Shekhar advises clients in the industrial, technology, and semiconductor sectors on strategy, end-to-end margin excellence (operations improvement, pricing, commercial excellence), and postmerger integration.

He jointly leads several knowledge efforts for our Advanced Electronics Practice; for example, developing a perspective on value creation in industrials.

His recent client work includes:

  • helping semiconductor companies with postmerger integration, focusing on go-to-market and R&D functions
  • advising semiconductor companies on transforming their gross margin structure through end-to-end margin excellence (operations improvement, pricing, and commercial excellence) programs
  • advising semiconductor and industrial clients on strategy topics (for example, in which end markets to participate, what technology and commercial partnerships to prioritize, and what approach to follow to mergers and acquisitions)
  • driving R&D-optimization programs—including portfolio strategy, platform strategy, process improvement, and design-to-value strategy—improving R&D effectiveness and efficiency for semiconductor and systems clients by 15 to 30 percent

Shekhar has also spoken on key industry trends and their implications at several industry conferences, including those organized by the Semiconductor Industry Association.
