About Sascha

Sascha specializes in operational and commercial transformation and performance turnarounds in our Travel, Transport & Logistics Practice. His areas of expertise include operations, supply-chain management, corporate strategy, pricing, e-commerce logistics, and transactions for travel, transport and logistics as well as banking and securities clients. His work in these sectors spans Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Sascha joined McKinsey as a consultant in 2004, managing large-scale-transformation programs for clients in the postal as well as courier, express, and parcel (CEP) industry. He left to take a position as group chief operating officer at Singapore Post, rejoining the firm in 2016 as a partner in our Travel, Transport & Logistics Practice.

Recent examples of Sascha’s client work include the following:

  • developing a network design for parcel operators in Europe and Asia
  • designing an end-to-end sorting automation process for mail and parcel operators in Asia and Europe
  • leading performance turnarounds and operational transformations for various postal and CEP companies
  • leading due diligences in the e-commerce logistics space for various logistics players
  • designing a digitization strategy for a European logistics conglomerate

During his time at Singapore Post, Sascha was tasked with the transformation of the local postal company into an international e-commerce logistics player, for which he would act as CEO for its e-commerce logistics business besides his group COO role.
