Sachin brings a deep understanding of people and systems to bear in designing transformation programs, ensuring lasting impact through coaching of front line as well as senior executives. He coaches clients at all levels on performance management, governance, implementation requisites and people development and training.
Sachin joined McKinsey Implementation in 2012 and since then has focused on the pharmaceutical sector, serving Indian generic pharmaceutical companies in various situations, e.g. manufacturing, procurement, R&D and quality culture transformations and also setup of new businesses.
Examples of his work include:
- supporting an operations transformation program across eight formulation manufacturing plants for a major pharmaceutical company, leading to ~$100 million impact
- delivering an R&D transformation program for a generic pharmaceutical company, leading to 40% reduction in development time
- leading a procurement transformation project for a pharmaceutical company, which resulted in savings of ~$25 million and establishment of a procurement organization
- leading a successful setup of biologics business for a generic pharmaceutical player
Before joining McKinsey, Sachin worked for more than four years in an Indian pharmaceutical company where he held various roles, including supply planning for national business, new product delivery for export markets and operational excellence. Sachin also worked four years in the Merchant Navy as an onboard marine engineer, sailing the high seas.
