Rich is passionate about capability building and leadership development—in client organizations, our firm, and across society. Based in Chicago, Rich joined McKinsey in 1996.
Rich is deeply committed to the Midwest—and to sustaining and strengthening its vibrant, broad-based economy, culture of innovation, and world-class educational institutions. He serves on the council for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as well as the board of World Business Chicago, a not-for-profit economic-development association. He is also a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago and its civic committee.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Rich was a vice president and partner at A.T. Kearney and held a series of management positions at Eli Lilly and Company.
Rich is married and has three sons. Outside of work he loves his family, fast cars, and sports (the Packers, White Sox, Bulls, and Illini).
