He is an experienced coach, capable of influencing effectively at all levels of an organization, and brings strategic thinking and energy to challenge and inspire his clients.
His recent work includes:
- Managing the implementation of a new shared service model for one of the world’s largest banks, resulting in 10-20 percent spend reduction for key divisions and a sustained change in work practices
- Leading client managers, supervisors, and front-line operators at a top global mining company as they drove an effort to reduce external spend; the program identified more than $900 million in savings over 2 years
- Partnering with the chief procurement officer of a leading aluminum producer to deliver over $100 million in tangible procurement savings via a more entrepreneurial approach
Before joining McKinsey, Raphael was a senior executive at a leading cable TV company, with responsibility for go-to-market strategy and consumer insights. He has also served in operational roles in the airline industry. He began his career as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Europe.
