Raimundo advises leading financial institutions across Latin America, helping them shape ambitious growth strategies, redesign their channels, and deliver step-change improvements in operational effectiveness. An expert in digital banking, he helps clients shape bold road maps for digital transformation and deploy cutting-edge techniques to digitize customer journeys.
For example, Raimundo recently supported the large-scale digital transformation of a Latin American bank. This included designing and helping run several “innovation labs” to digitally redesign customer journeys such as account opening and loan applications. As a result, the bank increased customer satisfaction from 60 percent to 95 percent while reducing the cost of key processes by more than 70 percent.
Raimundo has helped several other banks develop far-reaching digital strategies and transformation road maps. He also draws on his digital expertise in his broader banking work—for example, he designed a multichannel strategy for a leading bank in the region, defining key improvements across branches, ATMs, online and mobile, and agency banking.
His other experience includes helping redesign a bank’s 400-branch network to ramp up efficiency and sales, transforming another bank’s call center from a cost to a profit center, and supporting a major Latin American bank merger.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Raimundo worked as a senior investment officer at Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF) in Peru.
