Helps leaders and organizations create sustainable value by transforming their businesses toward customer centricity, speed, and agility

Philippine is a partner in McKinsey’s Amsterdam office, bringing deep expertise in leading digital, agile, and distribution channel transformations, implementing new operating models, and coaching top teams. Since joining McKinsey in 2018, she has served a range of clients primarily in business-to-consumer sectors, including banking, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, energy, airlines, automotive, retail, and insurance.

Philippine’s approach to helping clients drive successful and sustained transformations is grounded in setting big, bold, and customer-centric aspirations; gearing internal operating models toward speed, agility, and customer focus; powering human capabilities with smart data and technology; and role-modeling empowering leadership to enable multidisciplinary teams to innovate, experiment, improve, and excel in delivering value to their customers.

With a unique focus on both customers and employees, Philippine translates vision into reality using her first-hand knowledge of what it takes to make change happen and work at scale. Philippine is an expert in making big transformations feel small by engaging the entire organization—from senior leaders to front-line employees—in contributing to the desired business outcomes. She makes change programs practical by helping clients distill their strategic aspirations into inspiring change stories and describe the value at stake in clear, simple business goals. She helps translate new operating models into specific behaviors and practices, and connects long-term objectives to short-term actions, results, and improvement cycles.

Examples of Philippine’s recent client work include the following:

  • designing and guiding a multiyear agile and digital transformation for a global pharmaceuticals company to create more sustainable value and impact
  • leading a Europe-focused digital and agile transformation for a global asset manager, focusing on sales and operations excellence and renewing ways of working across the organization
  • designing and implementing an integrated digital and branch strategy of a large European bank, implementing more proactive and agile ways of working in the sales organization

Before joining McKinsey, Philippine worked for ING for 21 years, most recently as the chief distribution officer for the Netherlands. She worked across marketing, sales, products, operations, and IT, and developed a deep understanding of all aspects of the value chain in retail banking. Her largest accomplishment was to initiate and lead ING’s agile transformation in the frontline, being the first to successfully take agility to sales and service channels to truly empower frontline employees.

Philippine serves on the board of the Royal Carré Theatre in Amsterdam. She is fluent in Dutch and English and conversational in French.
