About Patrick

Patrick is a leader of our Healthcare Systems & Services Practice, where he directs our work on payor risk management. He serves major healthcare clients on a broad range of topics, including strategic planning for reform, operations, risk management, generating healthcare value, organization, and new business growth. He has also served several leading financial-services firms.

Examples of Patrick’s work in healthcare include helping one of the largest US payors define an integrated response to national healthcare reform across individual, small-group, large-group, Medicare, and Medicaid segments. For another payor, he helped design and launch a risk-coding utility to serve individual and small-group segments in Massachusetts.

Patrick has also helped several payors achieve lasting improvements in operational efficiency. For example, he worked with a large payor to define and operationalize a healthcare-payments strategy focused on delivering provider, consumer, and employer-facing products to reduce bad debt. For another large organization, he helped design and implement a world-class claims-effectiveness group to identify and capture claims-accuracy-improvement opportunities across the payor’s professional, facility, and pharmacy spend.

Patrick is deeply committed to supporting the economic renaissance of the city and of Michigan, helping leaders in the private and public sectors identify opportunities for growth and job creation.
