Parker supports clients in building underlying technology, data, and people capabilities to enable digital-transformation journeys. He works primarily with consumer-facing industries, including insurance, retail banking, consumer products, and pharmaceutical and medical products. Leading the digital life-insurance initiative across the Americas and Asia, Parker advises insurance clients on their digital strategy and digital-transformation efforts. He has advised numerous multinational companies across financial services and high-tech industries on their China expansion efforts.
Recently, Parker launched a digital-marketing organization for a Fortune 500 US life insurer to enable the client to systematically acquire customer leads online via Internet and social-networking platforms and provide omnichannel customer experiences. For a top Chinese insurance group, he developed a digital strategy and transformation roadmap that will enable the client to achieve industry-leading operating efficiencies and facilitate next-generation management decision-making support.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Parker was a partner at Diamond Management and Technology Consultants (formerly DiamondCluster International), a Chicago-based management and technology-consulting firm. At DiamondCluster, he advised clients on IT transformation efforts, including IT strategy, IT architecture, and IT application design.
